HI-TEC OPEN PLAN SALON WERE OWNERS CAN SEE PETS BEING GROOMED.

We have the most specialised equiptment for your pets comfort & safety, to provide a stress-free enviroment in which your pet can be groomed.

We have walk in baths, high velocity dryers to remove dead undercoat & water, to give minimum brushing & standing during grooming. We have temperature controlled drying kennels where your pet can sit or lie as they prefer, giing then a break from standing, make curl up in the heat and have a little snooze....all this pampering is very tiring you know!! These are idea for elderly & heavy coated dogs to aoid long period of standing. We have low level table with full holding harnesses to prevent jumping or falls. Also tummy & hip harnesses to aid support of dogs during grooming.

HOW LONG DOES GROOMING TAKE?

We only keep pets for the length of time grooming is required.

We do not rush grooming so therefore offer an appointment service so pets grooming will commence within 15 mins of entering the salon.

 Normally we allow 2-3 hrs for small-medium breeds and 3-4.5hrs for larger breeds this will however depend on the condition of the dogs coat, and may take longer if the coat is matted & tangled. We have the most modern stainless steel kennels, with vetbed and heating, for your pets confort, in case your collection of your pet is held up. We do however ask that owners advise us if they cannot collect there pet at the time stated so we can arrange kennel space. We kindly ask all pets are collected 15mins prior to closing otherwise a charge will be made for .

NO APPOINTMENT IS NECCESSARY FOR NAIL CLIPPING/MICROCHIPPING however please telephone before noon on the day you wish to visit as sometimes the salon staff will be doing inhouse training serices at other premises and staff maynot be avilable, therefore we can advise you our opening hours for that week.

WHEN TO START GROOMING YOUR PET.....

As soon as your puppy has had its vaccinations we reccommend that you visit us together to introduce your pup to us and vice versa.

Once your pup has become used to the surroundings, we suggest that you book them in for a bath & brush and feet,face trim/tidy up this gets the pup used to buzzing clippers and clicking scissors, dryers etc. Then when the pup is ready for its first full grooming, the procedure will be familar.

Your pet has a mind of its own and it is virtually impossible to persuade an unwilling 6-8month old pet to be groomed, espically if it is frightened. Sharp scissors & clippers dictate that often a fearful pet can be a real danger to itself and the groomer. In some circumstances it may be neccessary to carry out grooming at a ets under sedation or anaesthetic with all the revelant costs inoled. All that can be avoided by slow gentle training and introduction to grooming as a young pup.

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOUR PETS GOES TO GET GROOMED....

With your first visit we require you to fill in a pet record card we will take all your pets details in case we need to contact you and so we know how best to handle and care for your pet. We will require details of your pets age, any skin,heart conditions other illnesses etc and your pets vet details in case of any health concerns.

We will then discuss how you would like your pet groomed we have a range of styles to suit all breeds and lifestyles.

Once you have agreed your pets grooming requirments, your pet will be rough trimmed if neccessary and brushed out to remove excess hair and knots or tangles. Then of to the bath for a warm shower and massage using a specialised coat care shampoo suitable for your pets coat type, owners may also bring there own veterinary or specialised shampoo if they wish, conditioner and creme rinse may be applied if neccessary. Pets anal glands will be checked and emptied if neccessary.

Once shampooed your pet will then be force dried to remove excess hair, water and dead coat and then be placed in the heated cabinet to lie and relax whilst drying & then fluff dried and brushed out, your pet will then be styled to your requirements. Then we will remove excess hair and clean your pets ears and check and clip there nails.

Then a final check over and a squirt of aftershave or perfume for that finishing touch!!!

HOW MUCH WILL IT COST?

PRICES- are based on grooming coats in good condition, regularly groomed and co-operative pets. Without seeing dogs only a rough quote can be given, if you bring your pet along for a consultation we can show you styles of how pets may be groomed and also give you a firm quote and length of time it will take to groom your pet. All prices quoted include full grooming bathing,grooming clipping,ear,nail & gland care and special breed requirments depending on coat type. Dematting, shaving or handstripping and handling of difficult dogs will require extra time and result in an additional charge.

Should you experience difficulty in grooming your pet we offer pet owner groomer care lessons see our training classes or ask us to arrange a plan for regular in between full grooming services.

WE REQUIRE ALL NEW CUSTOMERS PAY A DEPOSIT PER PET WHEN YOU BOOK YOUR APPOINTMENT.Your pets groomer, grooming table etc will be booked exclusively for you. Due to an increasing amount of no shows & hoax calls we require new customers pay a £10 deposit per pet on booking to reserve your appointment.
