COURSE OBJECTIVE
The objective of this program is to educate and prepare the student with the knowledge required to be qualified to enter into the dog grooming industry as a Grooming Assistant / Bather Brusher/work in a mobile dog wash for any Professional Grooming establishment. The course can also be used for pet owners to learn to groom there own dog.

COURSE DESCRIPTION
This course includes 25 hours of hands-on practical application of all techniques necessary to bath and dry dogs including health and safety for both groomers and pets and safe handling and restraint technqiues. The correct methods of care for the dog’s eyes, ears, nails  will be taught and practiced. Dog bathing, brushing and drying/dematting techniques will be practiced daily including the proper products, tools, and techniques for managing all coat types. Students will also be instructed in removing shedding coat using different products and techniques to be able to finish all bath/brush breeds. You will also be taught and instructed in the safe use of scissors and thinners and shown how to use these to cover basic scissoring technqiues of feet and furnishing and thinning out dogs coat, so you will be able to finish trim double coated breeds. You will have an introduction in clipping technqiues or may be instructed in learning to clip and style your own dog.
